DIY Halloween Decorations

I'm excited to make some of the Halloween decorations that I have planned this year! I've seen so many great decoration ideas and wanted to share them with you! A lot of these are better than store bought decorations in my opinion and much scarier at that. The only thing that's scary about some store bought decorations is the price tag! Spooky Witch Head   I love this super easy tutorial that Dria created over on DIO Home Improvements! Be sure and check out this tutorial and some of her other Halloween decoration tutorials! Get the Gossip Girl Look

I am totally open to admitting that I'm obsessed with Gossip Girl as a show, but more specifically the styles and wardrobes of the characters on the show.¬† I constantly find myself looking up pictures of Blaire and Serena and taking notes on their artfully crafted outfits. I just wanted to share this really interesting interview that I found with Eric Daman, the costume director of Gossip Girl. His eye for fashion is truly amazing. This is kind of a long interview, but if you are at all interested in the fashion and the costume process behind the characters on Gossip Girl, then watch this interview. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LekfI9O3ZKM ¬† Enjoy and let me…

Shorts in Autumn

Layering shorts over tights or leggings is a stylish way to add interest to an outfit. Not only is this a unique look, its a great way to wear some of your pieces all year round. Here are some stylish examples that I'm loving: [caption id="attachment_1301" align="aligncenter" width="400"] Gossip Girl[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1303" align="aligncenter" width="400"] Chictopia[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1305" align="aligncenter" width="400"] One Twenty Two[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1308" align="aligncenter" width="400"] Outfit Deluxe[/caption] I've seen so many cute outfits out there but these are just a couple that I was really liking. I need to stock up on some more tights for this fall/winter! Let me know your thoughts on this style!

Drugstore Makeup Review: Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation

Because I buy the majority of my makeup items from department stores, I'm not especially familiar with some of the drugstore makeup gems out there. For this reason I personally find makeup reviews extremely helpful. I recently purchased this Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation in search of finding a suitable foundation replacement. I normally use Laura Mercier's Silk Creme Foundation (aahhhmazing) but for financial reasons I had to temporarily switch to a more affordable product. I truly believe that the $43 foundation is worth it, but I can't afford the hefty price tag at the moment. I really like this mousse foundation. My skin is typically red toned so I need a foundation with medium to heavy coverage. This foundation is very buildable, meaning you can layer to get your desired¬† coverage. Because it…
