My Everyday Makeup Routine

Better Than Sex Mascara // Too Faced This is my holy grail mascara. It literally might be better than sex. I have never been a huge fan of dropping large wads on mascara. It expires relatively quickly, and it's just black gunk you spread on your eye lashes... This mascara actually makes me want to spend the money. Absolutely amazing definition! This mascara significantly lengthens your lashes while giving them a fuller, volumized look. Eye Studio Gel Liner // Maybelline I have experimented over the years with different eye liner mediums. I tend to gravitate to either liquid or gel. This gel liner gives you a dark, controllable line that lasts for hours! I don't find myself having to constantly reapply or wipe away stray smudges when I switched to this liner! I…

Chinoiserie Inspired Living Room

  | Sofa, Ikea | Garden Stools, Lamps Plus | Console Table, Wayfair | Lamp, Lamps Plus | Palm Pillow, Etsy | Ming Trellis Pillow, Society Social | Chinoiserie: the imitation or evocation of Chinese motifs and techniques in Western art, furniture, and architecture, especially in the 18th century. I have always loved the look of Chinoiserie influenced spaces. One of my favorite interior designers, Mary McDonald, is the queen of all things Chinoiserie. I love that this style can be pushed to the max or subtly introduced into the room. I incorporated this style into my own living room by adding a ceramic ginger jar style lamp on the modern chrome console table. The juxtaposition between cold, modern chrome and mirrors and Chnioiserie adds character and interest to the space. I placed two garden…

Expect more interior posts again as I begin the long journey of designing my first apartment that I have lived in alone! I am already well on my way, with many pieces to purchase ahead of me. Follow along as I share my design process with you! Here are some of my favorite interior design posts that I have written in the past to tide you over in the mean time!   Creativity With…

Loving Yourself

Recently a relationship in my life ended that left me in pieces. I was distraught and didn't know where to go from there. I lost sight of the road and the most important relationship of all, the one that I have with myself. I get so caught up in pleasing others and nurturing the other relationships in my life, that I forget to focus on myself and my own needs. This is an ongoing struggle that I have had for many years, which is why it is something that I wanted to talk about. I have never liked being alone, both physically and emotionally. I feel the need to be in a relationship at all times, and I am the most comfortable when I am physically with friends. I am aware that this is…

Trench Coat Love

  | Coat, Brooks Brothers | Shoes, Prada (similar) | Clutch, Forever 21 (similar) | Skirt, Forever 21 (similar) | Necklace, Benevolent Jewels (similar) | Sunglasses, Jimmy Choo | Everyone has their vice. Shoes (guilty), bags, accessories, you name it. If you can put it on your body, there is a woman out there addicted to buying it. I have an addiction to coats. There is absolutely no need for me to purchase any more, but I can't stop! I have tried to figure out what compels me to keep buying them, but all I have come up with is  "because they are pretty," and "but.. but... I want it." Oops. This being said, I have a very well rounded coat collection. However, up until recently it was missing something! The classic khaki trench. How could I…
