Preppy Fleece Frat Pullovers

I am all about lounging in style as the next person, but sometimes I have a hard time wrapping my head around paying anywhere from $60 to $150 and up for a simple pullover. I have gone back and forth about whether or not the money is worth it, but ended up caving and purchasing a Southern Proper All Prep Pullover anyway. I love my jacket don't get me wrong, but sometimes its hard not to think of that money that I spent as half of a pair of Kate Spade heels or another luxury item. This personal dilemma is why I am asking yall's opinion on the matter. Is spending that much money on a frat pullover or glorified sweatshirt worth it? I honestly don't know, but I sure do know that I…

Poncho Obsessed

  | Knit Poncho, H&M | Boots, Tory Burch (similar) | Purse (old) | Sunglasses, Jimmy Choo (similar)| I have been absolutely loving ponchos and capes for fall this year! They are the perfect fall fashion staple to throw over a long sleeve and walk out of the door. Voila! Instant outfit. I snagged this black knit beauty from H&M a few weeks ago, but I have seen so many others that are just dying to find a home in my closet. (I'm assuming. I mean who wouldn't?) I have been running around like a chicken with its head chopped off this week. Errands and to do lists have been piling up, and I haven't even started Christmas shopping! EEK! This time last year I already had everyone's gifts all purchased and ready to go!…

Stripes On Repeat

|  Sweater, J Crew Factory (ON SALE) | Skirt, J Crew (old) | Boots, Steve Madden (similar) | Purse, Ann Klein (old) | Sunglasses, Jimmy Choo | Okay, so don't yell at me. But I am officially an outfit repeater. But I mean come on... who isn't? I recently styled this J Crew waffle sweater with a gingham button down and jeans a few days ago, and just HAD to wear it again. I paired it with a floral skirt for a different look! I like styling sweaters with skirts to mix it up a bit in the texture department. Sweaters and jeans are great, but it's easy to get stuck in a rut! Dallas' weather is absolutely crazy. Warm one day and cold another! So on this particular day it wasn't cold enough for…

A Floral Affair

Top, J Crew | Jacket, J Crew | Boots, Ann Klein (old) | Necklace, J Crew (old) What adds a better pop to an outfit than a floral neon statement necklace? Exactly. Nothing! I don't know how society survived the long listless days before statement necklaces came into style. It always blows my mind how something as small as a necklace can pack such a large punch! I kept things simple and paired this bright number with a chambray button down and a navy field jacket. I feel like my day is brightened every time that I wear this cheerful necklace! XOXO

Beetles and Velvet

| Shoes, Tory Burch (sold out) | Sweater, Ralph Lauren | Necklace, (similar) | Sunglasses, Jimmy Choo | I'm not sure how to properly express how in love I am with these Tory Burch velvet beetle smoking slippers. These babies have been in my cross hairs since they were first released last fall. I was lucky enough to score them on sale at the end of the season, and I jumped at the chance to finally get to wear them today! I have been loving this crisp fall weather we have been having in Dallas these days, so I paired these beauties with a simple grey cashmere sweater layered over a white oxford. What shoes have you been obsessing over this season?  XOXO

Checks and Stripes

| Shirt, J Crew Factory | Jeans, H&M | Sweater, J Crew Factory | Earrings, Kendra Scott | Trench, Similar | Boots, (old) | Fall is finally here in Dallas and I couldn't be more excited! I have been loving this rainy, chilly weather that we have been experiencing all week! It definitely gets me in the holiday spirit! This warm sweater layered on top of a J Crew button down kept me toasty warm all day. I paired it with a navy blue trench to protect me from the rain! On a side note, I just got these jeans from H&M and I am completely smitten. I have a curvy waist, and I love the high waisted fit of Seven For All Man Kind jeans and the slimming effect that they have However, I…

101 in 1001 Days

When I first came across Mackenzie's 101 in 1001 days on Design Darling, I was absolutely in love with the idea! I am a huge fan of lists, to do lists more specifically. I have been wanting to create a bucket list for a long time, and this idea is the perfect hybrid between New Years Resolutions and a bucket list. With a time span longer than a year, 101 in 1001 Days gives you a fair shot of actually completely a good majority of the goals on your list! Start Date: November 4, 2014 End Date: August 1, 2017 Health and Fitness Become Flexible Again August 2015 Establish and maintain a healthy eating routine Establish a weekly fitness plan Become a member at Exposure rock climbing gym Get in the best shape of…

The Ultimate Breakup Playlist

Everyone knows that breakups are rough. But the one thing that really helped me get through this last one was my excellent (If I do say so myself) breakup music playlist. A healthy selection of angry, reflective, and uplifting songs, this baby will carry you through! When I am going through a tough time or working through a situation, music always seems to bring me clarity. There is just something comforting about knowing that other people have gone through the same things that you are going through. The painful emotions will still be there, but at least Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert will keep you company while you inhale a pint of ice cream and ugly cry alone in your apartment. Cliche? Yes. Pretty accurate. Definitely. Time heals all, but music soothes in the mean…
