Lilly Pulitzer Wedding

While this beautiful Lilly Pulitzer wedding in Southern Weddings may not be new to some, it sure is new to me and I couldn't be more smitten! These bright, punchy Lilly Pulitzer inspired pictures make me want to reach for the nearest glass of juice and take a long sip. I have never seen such a perfectly styled scene. This shoot so accurately captures the preppy perfection that is Lilly Pulitzer and creates a stunning backdrop for this beautiful couple's big day!   (more…)

June Playlist

So yes, I do realize that it is now the end of June, but hey, better late than never right? Good answer. This month I kept it kind of mellow and didn't really add in a lot of EDM. I wanted more of a relaxing playlist this month, and surprisingly this is one of my favorites! I discovered SO many great songs this month and I am so excited to share them with you. If you aren't going to listen to all of them fiiiiiine. But at least listen to my top five (in no particular order). I'm doing you a favor trust me! Hurricane (Arty Remix) by Halsey- It is such a great motivational song and really resonates with where I am right now. Borderline- Vanic X Tove Styrke Yes Yes (Magic Man Remix)…

The Power of Networking

I'm not going to lie, when I first started Progression By Design I had no interest in commenting and interacting with other bloggers. I was officially the cat lady of the blogging community. In real life I am an extremely friendly, personable, outgoing individual. However, when it came to blogging, I was more than happy to sit in my room petting twenty of my (albeit metaphorical) cats and knitting little sweater outfits for them. I was lazy and didn't see the value in commenting on other people's small blogs. I do realize that saying that makes me sound like an asshole, but I basically was. I thought that it wasn't worth my time to reach out to other bloggers that were of the same or smaller caliber than I was. I wanted to interact…

National Wear Your Lilly Pulitzer Day

Today is the day that ladies across America (possibly even the world) break out their shifts, Elsa's, skorts, and palazzo pants for National Wear Your Lilly Pulitzer Day. Like any of us really need an excuse, but hey if there is a whole day dedicated to it, who's complaining? I am unfortunately still waiting for my Red Right Return skirt to come in the mail (#firstworldprobs) so I wasn't able to shoot it for today. You're just going to have to look at me in my Lilly Pulitzer maxi again instead. I know, life's hard. In honor of today, I wanted to share some of these other lovely ladies in their Lilly Pultizer beauties with you! Make sure to go and check out their blogs and Instagrams as well. The Ultimate Summer Bucket List

Summer is here. Holy crap how did that even happen? Let's not even talk about it. With summer comes beautiful weather, sandy beaches, lake trips, skirts, and margaritas, aka plenty to do and experience. Goodbye exams, cramming, puffy jackets, and 8 am's, we won't even miss you. There are always exciting memories to make and things to do in the summer, but you can always make it more epic. For this reason, I have created the ultimate college summer bucket list, or the ultimate summer bucket list for anyone else that is feeling adventurous and summery! 1. Send a message in a bottle on your next beach trip. 2. Try five new patio restaurants and find your new favorite drink! 3. Pull an all nighter! Finally it won't be coffee and exam fueled. 4. Play…

Clutch Purses Under $75 Dollars

  | Hot Pink Clutch, ($47) | Cobalt Clutch, ($37) | Multi-Color Knit Pouch ($60) | Navy Blue Knit Pouch ($35) | Black Snake Skin Clutch, ($42) |  Grey Woven Clutch, ($34) | Striped Clutch, ($56) | I have been beyond obsessed with clutches lately! They are so easy to grab and go without the hassle of a giant trashcan ahem over sized purse. I wish that I could buy literally all of these, but for now one at a time will have to do! Ladies, I think that we can all agree that I love tassels. I didn't even know that half of the ones that I listed had one until I started typing this, but oh well! Nothing wrong with a lot of tassels. Which one is your favorite? Do you have any…

Blogging Tools That Change The Game

There are so many blogging tools out there that will help you to improve your blog. Many of them, like Google Tools, get overlooked. What if there was a way to get a better insight into what your readers are into? What do they like? What do they want to know? What are they Googling? Yeah. Google thought of that. (Surprise surprise.) Google Trends Google Trends is a handy blogging tool allows you to see what topics are currently trending on Google. Okay, so pretend that Kim Kardashian loses twenty pounds from this ah-mazing amazing all mixed greens diet. This hits the media, and suddenly everyone and their mom is googling mixed greens. It would be prudent of you to mention mixed greens in some way on your blog. Maybe it's a fast mixed green…

I Woke Up Like This

  Is Perfection Attainable? In a society largely influenced by media, our perception of "reality" has been skewed. Our television shows, magazines, and movies all lead us to believe that these women in the media spotlight don't leave their homes without looking perfect, polished, and put together. Of course it's normal to spend thirty to forty five minutes doing your hair just to shuffle into Starbucks and run to the grocery store. #NoWay It often isn't shown that these women are primarily just like we are. Messy hair don't care. So why are we trained to feel bad about not looking put together all of the time? I know that I don't wear heels every single day, all day, to run errands. I know that I, as much as I would like to, don't perfectly curl…

Instagram Roundup {June 2015}

I haven't done an Instagram roundup in a while, so I figured why not?! I have been super busy with the end of my spring semester and the beginning of my summer semester! I of course made time for some shopping with best friend in South Lake, Texas at Lilly Pulitzer. Clearly that is just as important as my actual to-do list. This is what I wore for a hot day of shopping in the sun!   | Shorts, Target (buy one get one 50% off) | Top, Nordstrom (similar) | Earrings, Kendra Scott | Scarf, (similar) | Sunglasses, Jimmy Choo (old) | This is the skirt that I ended up getting! | Skirt, Lilly Pulitzer | Nude Heels, Sole Society (old) | I went on a fun trip to see one of my best friends…
