What To Wear: In the Mountains

If you're like me, I like to picture and put together the outfits that I am planning ahead of time for any trips that I am taking. While this usually starts with the best intentions, I end up packing two hours before and only end up wearing half of what I packed. Oh well. I'm working on it. In hopes of combating my personal level of procrastination and simultaneously inspiring my blog readers, I am starting a fun new series called What to Wear. I will be featuring fun shoppable outfits that you can use as inspiration for certain events and trips that you are participating in. For my first installment in this fashion series, I am covering what one might wear on a fun winter trip! I am using the photos below as…

Pajamas That Will Make You Feel Like You Have Your Life Together

Okay y'all. I know that I am not the only one that exclusively sleeps in boxers and a giant t-shirt. I would love for everyone to think that I slept in a matching silk boxer and camisole set with a lace eye mask, but let's be real. I don't think anyone really does. If they do, I can almost guarantee that they aren't in their twenties. If you are, congrats, you can actually use the term "I woke up like this" without lying. While I love my mens boxers that come in a 3 pack from Target, I feel like I can do a little better than that. #raisingmypersonalstandards For those nights that I actually feel like my life is somewhat together, (i.e. I am getting into a made bed, with my legs shaved)…

Weekly Picks 4/11

I had so much fun rounding up the weekly picks for this week! I have a to-buy list 100 feet long and growing ya'll this is really bad. However, if I buy anything else navy my friends are going to hold an intervention so I might just hold off on the shopping for a while. ;) I will just shop vicariously through everyone else. Note: If viewing this on your phone, switch to desktop view to be able to read the full commentary for each weekly pick! Click the three lines in the top right hand corner and select 'switch to desktop version.' Enjoy all of these super freaking cute weekly picks! Spring Outfit Wardrobe Essentials

At every change of the season I find myself standing in front of my closet feeling like I have nothing to wear. Okay, let's be real, I do that basically every day... But especially when we are on the cusp of a new season. I like to use the changing weather as a benchmark to asses the gaps that I have in my wardrobe. I notoriously get distracted with bold prints and statement pieces and end up kicking myself when I don't have enough basic staples to work with. This spring I want to determine what pieces are missing from my wardrobe (in my case basic staples) and fill in the gaps as needed. Having a strong wardrobe foundation allows me to get creative when styling outfits and gives me plenty to work with.…

Weekly Picks (3/30)

Instead of doing a normal Design Find post like I have been doing in the past, I thought that it would be fun to mix it up a little. From here on out I will be doing a weekly post with my favorite design finds as normal, but this time with my favorite fashion picks as well! Woohoo for more excuses to shop. [show_lookbook_widget id="274971"]   I hope that everyone has a lovely week! XOXO.

In the Trenches

Anyone that knows me on a personal level knows that I am truly obsessed with coats and jackets. But seriously though this isn't an "Omg I'm obsessed with those earrings obsession." This is a "Marie we are holding an intervention if you buy another blazer" kind of obsession. Hey, the first step to fixing a problem is... buy another trench coat. Wait no, whoops... admitting that you have one? That sounds right. | Gingham Trench Coat | Khaki Trench Coat | Navy Trench Coat | Violet Trench Coat | Striped Trench Coat | Light Blue Trench Coat | One day, I found the perfect khaki trench coat from Brooks Brothers that sparked my love for coats. I love a good winter coat, but my favorite pieces to style and wear are trench coats. These light…

I've been loving the off the shoulder shirt trend this spring and this flouncy blue one is a favorite! I have a larger chest, so unfortunately I have to skip out on certain off the…

Spring Fashion Trends 2016

As February draws to a close, we all have one thing on our minds: Leo finally won an Oscar. Just kidding. Spring. Spring is on our minds. It’s time to start shifting wardrobe gears and prepping our closets for the warmer months of Spring and Summer ahead. To say that I am excited would be a large understatement, but who am I kidding, I just use the changing weather as an excuse to do some heavy shopping. While I normally am not a huge trend shopper, there are some fashion trends that I have my eye on this spring. Off the Shoulder Tops They’re back ladies (and here you thought we didn’t see enough of them last year)! The off the shoulder trend is back in full swing and cuter than ever. Because…

While these trips were filled with fun (and plenty of hangovers), I am ready for a more relaxing vacation this…

Sarah Vickers: The Queen of Prep. If you haven't heard of this preppy fashion blogger, you should probably dust yourself off and crawl out from under the rock that you have been living under.
