Designing a beautiful apartment in your early twenties can be really hard. We want it to look great, but don’t quite have the funds that older, more career established women do. Soon enough soon enough! However, I am a firm believer that we can have a beautifully designed apartment on a budget. Over the years I have learned that it takes a healthy dose of hunting, patience, and planning. Anything worth having is worth the wait right?!

There are tons of resources that have stylish decor pieces at an affordable price! Take your time and plan out your design ahead of time. Designing on a budget does take some flexibility, but it shouldn’t limit your creativity- it should enhance it! There are plenty of designer home good look alikes with all of the style, minus the hefty price tag. I am planning on writing a more detailed post with more interior design tips and tricks, including how to design your first apartment and make your space fabulous on a budget! In the mean time, check out How to Make Your Apartment Look Expensive, and Tried and True Interior Design Rules for more helpful tips and reading!

Happy designing ladies! Does anyone have any specific questions? I will be sure to include them in the upcoming post!

I’m Currently in the process of designing my own apartment on a budget and like you said-it is a process. I’ve just had to remind myself that due to my lack of financial resources it will take a little more time but that doesn’t mean it can’t look fabulous!

Homegoods is definitely one of my favorite places. They usually have some cute pieces! But yes, patience is key! It will be so worth the wait once we finally finish it <3

Even though I’ve been living in my duplex for a year, I still feel like it’s a work in progress. There’s so much I’d like to do with it. These are all such cute pieces! I want a ghost chair so much!

I love lucite pieces in smaller spaces because they don’t take up very much visual space! So perfect for an apartment or smaller house like a duplex. My apartment has definitely been a work in progress for the last year so I feel your pain. I’m trying to hold off on all of the shoe purchases and get my act together and start buying furniture. haha!

That acrylic chair is to die for! As a college student I’m always having a hard time decorating my apartment without completely breaking my budget. Will definitely have to check out a few of those articles!
