Okay ya’ll. I don’t think that I have ever seen women get more aggressive in a shopping environment then I did the morning of the Lilly Pulitzer for Target launch. It was ugly. Target employees said that it was even worse than Black Friday… I completely agree with that statement.
Let me quickly rewind here. I drove in to College Station this past weekend to visit my best friend Alex. I originally was planning on driving in early Sunday morning, but we decided that we had to go the Lilly Pulitzer for Target launch together at 8 am so I left Saturday night instead! I got off of work and got to College Station around 3 am. We drove by Target to check and see if anyone was waiting out front, but we were in the clear! Zzzzzzz. Fast forward to 8:03 am that morning (Target opened at 8). EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING was gone. I was really regretting not pulling that all nighter… I somehow managed to snag this jumpsuit and another caftan dress when one woman put it back, but that was all.
I am not complaining that everything sold out so quickly. I AM upset however, that grown women were grabbing three, four, and five of everything so that they can sell it online for triple the price. Greed is not becoming ladies.
But on a positive note, I can’t wait to wear both of the items that I managed to snag in the warmer months ahead. I paired this fun print with a neutral bag and a pair of pearl sandals for a causal look!
So tell me, did you manage to snag anything before it sold out? What do you think about all of this Lilly Pulitzer for Target mania?
