Okay ya’ll. I don’t think that I have ever seen women get more aggressive in a shopping environment then I did the morning of the Lilly Pulitzer for Target launch. It was ugly. Target employees said that it was even worse than Black Friday… I completely agree with that statement.

Let me quickly rewind here. I drove in to College Station this past weekend to visit my best friend Alex. I originally was planning on driving in early Sunday morning, but we decided that we had to go the Lilly Pulitzer for Target launch together at 8 am so I left Saturday night instead! I got off of work and got to College Station around 3 am. We drove by Target to check and see if anyone was waiting out front, but we were in the clear! Zzzzzzz. Fast forward to 8:03 am that morning (Target opened at 8). EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING was gone. I was really regretting not pulling that all nighter… I somehow managed to snag this jumpsuit and another caftan dress when one woman put it back, but that was all.

I am not complaining that everything sold out so quickly. I AM upset however, that grown women were grabbing three, four, and five of everything so that they can sell it online for triple the price. Greed is not becoming ladies.

But on a positive note, I can’t wait to wear both of the items that I managed to snag in the warmer months ahead. I paired this fun print with a neutral bag and a pair of pearl sandals for a causal look!

So tell me, did you manage to snag anything before it sold out? What do you think about all of this Lilly Pulitzer for Target mania?

XOXO

Thanks girl! Yeah, it was just pure luck that I got anything. I suppose I was destined to own this jumpsuit. haha!!

Love that jumpsuit on you! I didn’t get to buy anything because by the time I had the chance, everything was gone. Hoping they restock!

Thank you 🙂 I’m sorry that you didn’t get a chance to get anything! Maybe Target will surprise us all and restock. I think that they should have had double the inventory on hand than they did.

    Love this jumpsuit on you!
I got pretty much everything I wanted online because my friend leaked the mobile links she found and I was able to purchase them. I felt a little bad afterwards seeing as how the LillyforeBay people handled it and swept the stores clean of product just to make a little profit.

Thanks girl! My best friend got the Nosie Posie dress when everything was leaked. I’m so jealous! I’m happy for you that you got basically everything that you wanted! Lucky you 🙂

I can’t believe how crazy the Lilly for Target launch was! I’ve heard lots of horror stories. It’s great that you were able to snag this jumpsuit though. It looks great on you!

      Marie Huang

Thank you so much! Yes, horror story indeed. Haha I wish I had filmed it for posterity. Women are crazy.

I’m sorry your experience was so foul! I wanted to participate in the sale but was visiting my family in California for the weekend. My little brother wanted to go on a hike and I couldn’t bring myself not to go just to fight over clothes (though I am sad I missed out on some of the adorable shifts!). You look so cute in this romper, glad you found something! (:

      Marie Huang

Hiking was much better trust me! Hehe. Although I did get a bit of a workout in running around the store like a crazy person. And thank you Jordyn I appreciate it 🙂

    Pick Your Beau

I was unfortunately only able to grab a lipgloss and some tea lights – everything sold so quickly! Love this jumpsuit on you!

I love the colour. It’s beautiful. I wish Target was in my country

      Marie Huang

I’m sorry that you don’t have a Target there! I feel like I live at mine! Maybe you can find some of the pieces from the collection on ebay or something?

    Seersucker Sass

I waited in line at my local Target for thirty minutes in the rain, and everything sold out at 8:01. The way that women were acting was absolutely insane. I left empty handed. I did end up with a set of the swizzle sticks because one of my blogging friends was sweet enough to sell to me instead of list them on ebay!

My boyfriend ended up driving two hours to take me to the Lilly store after the debacle, so it wasn’t a complete loss! You look darling in your jump suit 🙂

My what a good boyfriend you have! Mine was like Marie…. I don’t understand. It’s a Target collection. Which is a completely valid point, but I’m all “BUT IT’S LILLY!!!!!” At least you got some swizzle sticks! Those were so cute. I really wanted the wine stoppers :/

That jumpsuit looks great on you! I only wanted the white fringe kimono, but it ended up being online only and even though I was online waiting for it to come online, the website crashed and it was sold out when I tried to add it to my cart. Oh well, wasn’t meant to be!

      Marie Huang

Thanks so much! And awe yes… I wish that the kimono was in the store! I really liked it. But that’s a good way to look at it, it just wasn’t meant to be!

    Hey Marie!

Love the post! How fun was the Lilly shopping?! I got the palazzo pants in the same print and can’t wait for slightly warmer NYC weather so I can pull them out!
Love your blog and thanks for stopping by P.S. I’m from the Midwest!

What a great score! I really wanted the shell palazzo pants, but I am more than happy with my jumpsuit! I am so happy that we have had some good weather recently in Dallas so I got a chance to wear it.

You look great in this jumpsuit! How does the back of the jumpsuit fit on you? It’s some what unflattering on the back.

      Marie Huang

Thanks so much! The back fits me fine although it does show a large portion of my bra. I am not a huuuuge fan of how it fits on the chest just because I have a larger chest. I feel like it looks a bit “dumpier” on me for lack of a better term than on women with smaller chests. As far as the rest of it though it fits quite well!

This jumpsuit is so chic on you, I’m loving how you kept the styling simple and let the fun print stand out!
