I fell in love with coffee table books a couple of years ago when I got my Mary McDonald Interiors book. I seriously couldn’t put it down! In case you are new to Progression by Design, I am borderline obsessed with interior design. For this reason, I tend to gravitate towards design focused coffee table books. I love getting a new design book and curling up with a cup of coffee (coincidentally) and pouring through the glossy pictures.
Mary McDonald Interiors
As mentioned above, I love my Mary McDonald Interiors book. When it comes to chinoiserie inspired interior design, Mary McDonald is bae. Yes. I used bae in a serious sentence. She is seriously talented and her book beautifully captures her abilities with large, high quality photos of both public and private interiors that she has done! I love that you also get a glimpse into her personal home with pictures of her office and bedroom!
Decorate by Holly Becker
Coincidentally Decorate was the second design book that I have ever owned. I was really drawn to the wide variety of interiors and styles that were shown in this book. Decorate is packed full of tips, full color photos, and actual room blue prints to educate and inspire! My copy is literally filled with post its full of little notes and tips that I picked up throughout the book.
Ryan Korban: Luxury Redefined
I discovered Ryan Korban: Luxury Redefined when I was browsing a small bookshop in New York City, and let me tell you what a great find! Ryan Korban’s dramatic glamour is the perfect shot of fabulous that any interior needs. His work has really influenced my own personal style and has really inspired some of the things that I have planned for my own apartment. He loves making bold statements with fur, art, and unique statement pieces. My kind of man!
I hope that ya’ll check out some of these books! They are my absolute favorite coffee table books and have a permanent home on said table. Let me know what you think!
