As February draws to a close, we all have one thing on our minds: Leo finally won an Oscar. Just kidding. Spring. Spring is on our minds. It’s time to start shifting wardrobe gears and prepping our closets for the warmer months of Spring and Summer ahead. To say that I am excited would be a large understatement, but who am I kidding, I just use the changing weather as an excuse to do some heavy shopping. While I normally am not a huge trend shopper, there are some fashion trends that I have my eye on this spring.
Off the Shoulder Tops
They’re back ladies (and here you thought we didn’t see enough of them last year)! The off the shoulder trend is back in full swing and cuter than ever. Because they are a recurring trend from last year, there are so many more to choose from!
I love the flirty feminine look of these off the shoulder tops and dresses. They are perfect with a pair of skinny jeans or thrown over a bikini at the pool! The options are endless.
I have always loved the dramatic flair that a floppy hat adds to an ensemble. I am more than happy to see the fedora craze replaced with chic floppy sun hats. It’s pretty hard not to look confident and badass with a giant sun hat on! Plus as an added bonus, floppy hats provide amazing sun protection for your face. No one needs leathery skin at age thirty.
Wide Leg Pants
The return of seventies inspired pieces that we saw this past fall and winter are continuing to make an appearance in the warmer months of spring. Wide leg pants are back with a vengeance! Thank goodness. I mean seriously how many pairs of skinny jeans do we need? We need variety in our pant arsenal! Enter the figure flattering wide leg pant. A good pair of wide leg pants will make your thighs, legs, and waist look thinner and toned. Who wouldn’t want that?!
Pom poms, tassels, and raffia have taken over the scene and I honestly can’t complain. It’s impossible to be in a bad mood when you’re wearing pom poms. Happy fluff balls are officially in style! Festival inspired cattle heads, embellished gladiator sandals, and fringe are also officially in style. This desert / fiesta / festival style is the perfect summery companion to all of the off the shoulder pieces we have also been seeing so much of.
I have always loved the look of a block heel, and this spring we are starting to see a lot of them! Block heels are so comfortable to walk in and my personal favorite when it comes to spring sandals.
What Spring fashion trend is YOUR favorite? I am so excited for the warm months and cute outfits to come!
